I always liked Liftback/Hatchback/5 door alternatives.
I Had 2 2 door Hatchy’s & 1 5 door in 43 yrs. Very practical.
I really wanted to like the new CiVic R Hatchy but there was no real Handbrake available to compliment my winter FWD drifting style…
If the angle of the hatch does not increase the length too much I would not think that rigidity would be compromised. I always liked the CRX’s & 944’s on track… but I only had the Honda budget.
I like the term “super capacitors”. Maybe the new marketing badge to put on the trunk to replace “Turbo” which is so 80’ish! Reminds me too much of a
Renault Fuego.
