Well, that's all fine and dandy, except if you live in an area that have building codes and a construction permitting system in place. Then if you DIY (and your not licensed) and didn't take out a permit and get the work signed off, and your house blows and burns down because of a gas leak, your homeowners insurance might not cover the damage. -

Of course, Idaho may be different - do they have building codes in Idaho? -
