The base price difference between the M240i and 230i is $10k; but the two cars differ in more than just the engine. To make the 230i comparable to the M240i in terms of equipment; the "M Sport" package needs to be added to the 230i for $4500. That makes the cost of difference closer to $5000. Looks like the "M Sport" package no longer includes the Brembo fixed calipers front and rear; which is ok because they don't provide good pedal feel (FR-S with floating calipers all around has better brake pedal feel).

With regards to the $43000 price for the 2.0 Supra that sounds fair to me. The 230i with "M Sport" package is $40000. In my opinion the extra $3000 is worth it for what would be a much sportier driving experience in the 2.0 Supra.
