Sure, but if it's essentially interchangeable, then I'd just as soon not. I was thinking the interval is every 2nd year regardless of mileage. Also have to swap out the traction fluid filter same time. HKS was useless for that filter, I sourced it from Jackson last time, I'd just as soon buy the fluid from them anyway. It's just a generic transmission fluid filter anyway and traction fluid, I am pretty sure, is a slightly modified transmission/turbine fluid.
What is different inside a Rotrex centrifugal compressor vs. HKS? I am not aware of anything related to metallurgy, but of course how would I? There is the 1 disengaging roller below 1500 RPMs in the HKS, but again i cant see how a different fluid for similar temps and RPMs can result in catastrophic failure?
This is worse than the "tuning fuses" sold to hi-fi buffs. They cost .50 and sell for $200
First one that comes up on the search:
https://www.amazon.ca/HKS-12002-AK02.../dp/B01GG22RHE
And shipping fluids to Canada narrows down the number of elligable vendors ever since homeland security. It hurts, especially since I've been mostly unemployed for the past 2 years.
