Who knows maybe this is their grand epiphany in the final episode (or not), but regardless there's such a misplaced emphasis on horsepower and 60/quarter mile times these days you'd think the only fun you could have in a car is flooring it in a straight line.
Well when you are in a city with a lot of other people, your daily driving thrills come in 1/8th mile increments if you are lucky, and not a lot of that is particularly curvy/fast.
