2) Do you think Toyota Australia would purposely anger its customers, especially those 1st time customers that wouldnt have choosen a Toyota if not for the 86?
3) Would you prefer to have the spare wheel that you might need once in a blue moon, or big enough boot space so you can put your handcarry and a case of beer away from prying eyes (I'm speaking from experience here), as well as all the weight saving & NVH benefits?
Toyota spec changes are always done based on feedbacks from existing customers to improve the vehicle, and never ever for gouging customers. My dealers and I will defend that till the day we die.
I fully understand that there are people who do high mileages and are more at risk for punctures. Speak to your dealer, they will take care of you.
Go ahead and ignore market sentiment and everything I write, but believe this- the car is worth the wait/ pain/ staying up till 3.03am replying to meaningless forum posts.

The content of your response and your attitude to the sentiments posted on this forum are not ingratiating. The deletion of the spare & boot lining, & I assume jack & tool kit, smacks of cost cutting, after a hord of people have coughed up. Why would spec need to change 6 weeks from release? If the deletion was to meet customer demand, perhaps the repair kit could be offered as a no cost alternative to the spare.
