Key word being produced IN California. California can't rely on themselves for power, a lot is brought in. And I wouldn't tote nuclear since the CA government is hell bent on shutting down all nuclear plants.
Please do bother discussing the damage from fracking, since most widely circulated information is BS. Then after that we could discuss how eco friendly the production of solar panels and Li batteries are

Actually, I'm pretty sure that wind and solar is heavily subsidized in every country. It's the only way its even possible - especially if you install components built in China (where they don't give a crap about how dirty the production process is...).
