Sure it could be done with some work and cash but you seriously have to ask if that work and cost is worth it.
I think the security system/keyless entry system has to be changed as well. And likely the ABS control module.

After looking into it, I think it makes more sense for anyone in this position that wants the new engine to just buy a 2017+.
