Saibot if you've done this in the past you're one lucky son of a gun. If there was the slightest crack or stone chip in your windshield the rapid thermal shock would of split your windshield right across.

DO NOT POUR HOT WATER ON YOUR FROZEN WINDSHIELD YOU RUN THE RISK OF CRACKING IT

if your windows/doors/locks are frozen solid there's keychain sized bottles of de-icer liquid you can buy to spray on and melt the ice....but the only time I've every had my doors frozen solid was either after washing it in the winter and not drying it properly or if it was raining and it flash froze overnight. which happens very rarely in the middle of winter.
