I luckily have pictures of my engine bay beforehand where the pulley is clearly in brand new condition, followed by the pic I just too of it with the big gash in it.

I emailed the dealership but is there any other measures I should take? Because I'm getting a new cover and I will not be paying for it

Thanks in advance

dude seriously, talk to the dealership. you will be getting an email about submitting a review for the dealer. don't complete the review until the dealer has been given a chance to fix the problem. most will take care of it, because it's important that you give them 5 stars in the review process.
