wet bars are nice, though a little excessive for a lot of people over dry bars. i've worked in a couple houses now where they do a dry bar in an area about that size--just a pre-built lower and upper cabinet, with a countertop. it's relatively cheap, even if you go for full-custom cabinetry, and it's a really nice way to have a functional mixing station/storage area without it looking like a disaster of half-used glass bottles on a random counter top--like most bar area's can so easily turn into.
