midwesterners. give them a day off work and imply that there's a deal to be had on stuff, and just watch them line up for it. i generally avoid the place on saturday's during deals like this specifically because it's busy, but with the virus thing, it's worse..
no one seems to do any time valuations on personal time anymore. i used to try explaining to my mom that driving 30 minutes out of her way to get $0.05 cheaper gas is not cost effective. people just look at me screwy when i try explaining how my time is worth something, and 11% off even $100 worth of stuff doesn't cover having to stand around in a line for 45 minutes.
remember circuit city? when they declared bankruptcy their inventory got bought by a third party which re-marked everything discounted off MSRP, which was about 30-40%
higher than circuit cities original pricing... they had people wrapped all the way around the perimeter with stuff.
i stood around and watched for a good hour, enjoying myself.
