You can keep your cluster navigation but would not retain your radio controls. Works like a charm. I have it installed as I upgraded my cluster to the 17+ on my 2013 BRZ.

I can be happy sacrificing the radio controls on the wheel, besides, I can still control everything on the unit itself.

As for that retrofit cluster kit, this is exactly what i was hoping to come across. something non intrusive and utilizes available space in factory locations. thank you so much for linking me to it!
