Every morning I cross like 10 expansion joints on the Columbia bridge. The concrete in the wheel tracks is eroded at the the joints leaving a sharp transition. I am glad to have elastomeric top hats.
Yes, they are good. No knocking over bumps. I did just change out my entire suspension setup including the top hats though.

I am wondering if it is brake dust contamination wearing away at the seals. It should be fairly obvious if that is the case as the grease will be cakey.
