I don't know about your recent experience with your Toyota dealer, but mine was horrible and still is. I don't want to hijack this thread, but I think it's relevant to the lack of infos on the changes over recent years.

In the showroom and on the phone while I was waiting for the car to arrive from Japan, I asked a lot of questions, mostly about features on +17's cars. The backup camera was one of them, since they are mandatory in Canada now. It was total confusion between the salesman and the service guys, even the day I took delivery (I think I wrote about that here somewhere).

I know they don't sell a lot of these over here, but they should know about their products!! The changes on the +17"s models were their culprit and the Canadian website has so little infos, it's not going to make up for their lack of interest in this car .

Just for fun, here a list of the things I asked and what they answered. Some while I was in the showroom and some on the phone, all in french, I'll translate:

Q - Do they have dual climate control now?
A - None of them have it, it's such a small car!

Q - What about the final gear on newer models?
A - You can have it in manual or automatic. (I'm not joking)

Q - I heard that the newer models are faster than the previous ones?
A - Yeah, these things are fast now!!

Q - It's still the same engine from Subaru, right?
A - Not really, it's a boxer engine like the ones on Porsche's cars.

Q - Can I get a paint touch up marker when I'll get the car (halo)?
A - I checked and this color doesn't exist, you must be talking about whiteout?

And it goes on and on ever since I have to deal with them (radio, tires, wheels, oil). My dad is shopping for one this year, in his area and the saleman told him that the 86 is a collaboration between Toyota and...BMW!! He walked away...

So OP, they are some minor things that changed over the years, just don't ask Toyota about it, always go with Subaru guys...or this wonderful forum.
