Lol 13.5 hours... granted being a pilot is hours of boredom with a few minutes of sheer terror sprinkled in here and there... not really hard work unless the weather really sucks or something breaks... but if we work less than 12 hrs that's damn lucky. They legally can only SCHEDULE us for a 14hr day but any kind of delay for weather or passengers or ATC or whatever can push us way past that legally. I do remember working more than 50 hours at my father's tool and die shop (when I was a machinist not programming computers) being kind of crazy just for a little OT though. Even though that's a drop in the bucket for a pilot. Anyway my view has always been to get that dough while it's available though. Between having a father who owns a small business and being in aviation now, take it while you can get it.
