My engine trashed itself the other day. I'm going to have a reputable local tuning shop build my engine for me. The spirit of my car lives within the original engine it came with, I will not part with it. It can be honed, polished, rebuilt, and made STRONGER. Never more reliable though. before rebuilding or purchasing, you need to find out why you spun a bearing ( if that's what happened) in the first place.

If you ran the car low on oil, the same thing will happen to a new motor. if you accidentally put windshield washer fluid in the oil fill, it will happen again with a new engine.
Determine what caused it so you can avoid it BEFORE setting yourself up for failure.

I would suggest a 91-96 Miata. The only thing that goes wrong with those is that if you cut someone off, they'll throw a beer bottle through your rear vinyl window. You could probably run it without oil and with windshield washer fluid in the crank case and it would run fine. You can even manually advance the timing to get 5 extra WHP out of it.
