I tend to keep opinions to myself unless asked, then I'll warn whoever is asking.

That's not what I said at all. No one said you weren't allowed to have a negative opinion. I said it myself, I don't exactly agree with vertical doors on a BRZ but there's a difference between disagreeing with someone's tastes and then blatantly disrespecting someone.

What has changed is that now everybody is just supposed to smile and nod at everything whether they like it or not and not hurt some snowflake's feelings. Just because somebody expresses an different opinion doesn't make them a hater even if they hate it. So let's drop this everybody hold hands and sing kumbaya shit and let people express their opinions in any manner they wish.

You have to appreciate the irony of that sort of comment though. The people that like to preach "their money they can do what they want and others can't say anything" don't realize that they are doing the exact same thing as the people expressing their opinion. Both are just different ways of people trying to control the thoughts of others.

I agree with you with the divided car community part. No one said that everyone is supposed to smile and nod at everything. You can disagree with someone without being a total prick about it. As I said earlier, there's a difference between expressing a dislike for something vs blatantly disrespecting someone. It's this attitude that continues to flourish that allows for it continue being divided.
