Yeah, its all but impossible to get a Made in Japan Toyota filter anymore. Denso supplies them, and they have plants in Thailand and China.
Interestingly enough, I've had a hunch that the Full brand of filters sold at NAPA are actually rebranded Denso filters, or at least made in the same plant by the same company. They're made in Thailand and look strikingly similar to the real deal. Not the same for the BRZ Full filter though, which just reinforces my theory. Denso doesn't make the BRZ filter. Who makes the Subaru OEM filters that are Made in Japan? Nippon?
