In closed loop fueling which is idle, cruising, it is using the MAF sensor as a reference and adjusting with the O2 sensor.
Open loop it runs off a table and is adjusting off the O2 sensor.
Unplugging the MAF will force it into open loop. I kinda suspect the MAF. So if it continues to do the same thing that would rule that part out.
