Uhhhhhh, no. The RX series has always been rotary powered. Unfortunately, the last conventionally rotary powered car has probably been made with the RX-8. That's not to say some form of rotary may pop up. I know there's talk about using it as a range extender in electric vehicles.

That's not to say that they couldn't make a car to fill the RX-7/RX-8 void with a turbo 4, it just shouldn't be able to be called an RX car. They couldn't even use the Cosmo nameplate as that has always been rotary powered. The only thing I can think of is using the current naming scheme for the cars and calling it an MX-7. You have the M of the MX-5/Miata and the "X-7" of the RX-7 to go by as well. The only issue would be an actual name like the Miata has/had.
