Turned out to be the PCV valve. I had replaced it with the STI one but there isn't enough room for a wrench/socket in there to maneuver in.
Also in the earlier year cars, the evap hoses aren't clamped under the intake manifold so when I was diagnosing my leak I clamped those down as well. They blow off when you go FI.
