I really hope my state never requires the warranty work be done in order to license the car for the road. At this point I can't help but wonder if this has been blown completely out of proportion just to stimulate the economy by getting people into new cars? I don't know. I'm just annoyed that the dealership is suddenly making this into a big deal.
I think they are required by the NSHTCHTSA (?sp?) to diligently find and inform every owner, and recommended the recall.

From what I can't tell from the registry spread sheet, hundreds of bad recalls out of 100,000 recalls performed which is like less than 1% failure rate...
