So you must be working on a cast piece then; a stamped piece would probably be more expensive and require large equipment. That should keep the price reasonable. For instance, I’ve seen cast bell housing adapters be reasonable in price compared to their CNC-machined, billet counterparts, which is surprising because they look OEM. Similarly, a custom welded oil pan that needs to be pressure/leak tested has to be more expensive than a cast piece that can get machined and decked quickly and consistently.
