As others have said, check all connections and basic stuff first. Is it an alarm issue, is shifter in park, etc.? I find it highly unlikely that the majority of the backup camera wiring would impact the car from starting; even if you ground something out. If I recall from doing mine, you should have tapped into a power source in the trunk to power the camera (ground should go to other wire paired with the + you are getting power from). Your video jack will connect to the headunit of course; pretty straight forward.
Where I could see issues is when you tap into the reverse wire at the driver side kick panel. Your FRS doesn't have a trigger wire and I didn't watch the video but I assume you did this. Your trigger wire should go from the head unit to the reverse wire (located by the drivers side left foot area), and perhaps you shorted something out. If you used t-taps like I did to tie into the cars reverse wire, perhaps you could have completely severed your cars reverse wire all together. That's an easy fix if so.
