Usually the coaches drive your car for a lap to show you tips and stuff, but since he had virtually the same car as me he took me in his own BRZ.

The three or so times we went onto the track, he went into group D or whatever the upper class group for HOD is with the next to fastest cars and qualified solo drivers. So GT4's and whatnot.

Dude tore around the track and was easily beating these more powerful cars. And this was Thunderhill East which is known as the less technical of the two tracks at that raceway and meant more for higher power cars.

I don't think he even got on the brakes for most of the corners on the track and he knew exactly when to apex and everything.

I don't care if you can afford M2's, GTS', GT350 mustangs, etc. (or even just have cheaper tuner cars that happen to have more power stock) and like our car's design but hate how it drives. At least don't do the bullshit thing and call out our cars as being "slow" just because you'd never even want to learn to properly drive the thing.

It's okay to have an opinion but I just really hate when people go "well I drove it once and I know it sucks no matter how you drive it" or "well all the 86 owners I talk to say you have to fix the car by doing headers and a tune at least and even then it doesn't have enough power for what it is."
i don't get involved in those conversations anymore. i tried telling one of them once that i outpaced a bmw m4 on tail of the dragon a while back-- visibly frustrating the owner. he pulled over and let me pass when his back end started stepping out and i was still gaining on him. they claimed there was no possible way that could have happened...
