DarkPira7e I'm very sorry for your situation. I'm not a cat person, but I have ALWAYS had a dog, and I don't just love them like family, they are family.
That said, I have to agree with @
humfrz on this one. Maybe it's a generational thing, or a having grown up rural thing, I don't know, but if I were in your shoes I would have the Vet tell me what the alternatives are, and if the cat is in pain, I would have her relieved of her misery.
Over the years, I've done this with 3 dogs. Technically, they may have been "saved" and lived a couple of years longer, but it would have been a financial burden to my family. One of them I've lost since I've been on here, and the story is buried somewhere in the archives. It's a heart wrenching decision, and I've literally cried over every one, but in the end it was the right decision.
The good news is if you go down that path you will be able to rescue another cat that may otherwise not get rescued, that's a good thing.
If you do decide to help your cat, I hope it works out well for you and isn't a burden.
