NEED ADVICE!!!
I used my HKS SC V2 for 10K km before one day suddenly it stopped blowing/boosting. i opened it up and saw the threads on the cap with the oil channel, sheared off. i had one of my friend fabricate the cap on a cnc using high carbon steel for strength. the supercharger worked fine for more then 1000km till one day i hit a huge pothole and the charger stopped boosting (smae issue), but this time when i opened it up again, there was a big crank through the thread on the gear housing side, where the cap used to thread on. see photo below. it wont be possible to make this part.
Now i am seriously considering getting the new
GT2 Supercharger, which HKS claims to be better performing and more reliable than the GTS supercharger, and i can just replace the charger and use all the old piping and everything.
OR
Should i remove everything, raise my budget (will take time) and go for a turbo setup?
