If you don't want rust on rotors on a new car, buy a high-end car like Audi where they have covers on the wheels for transporting to/from car transports.
Rust will develop on rotors anytime you have water on it and it is allowed to dry naturally (i.e. rotors are cold). If you don't want rust on your rotors, drive your car. It's as simple as that.
As for Apple, you're comparing anodized aluminum in plastic shrink wrap to exposed cast iron. A simple lesson in oxidation should suffice.
