Oh yes.

The best prime rib I ever had was at the "Lawry's The Prime Rib" in Chicago. The restaurant is located in the old 1890’s McCormick Mansion. I ate there one night a week (most weeks) for a year, while I was working for the Illinois Institute of Technology Research Institute.

Start off with a piece of midwestern corn fed beef. Then, cut to order at your table from a silver cart. You could choose wherever you wanted the piece to be cut from - from the end being charred to the middle being still raw (barely warm).

Yep, tough duty, back in the day -
