Amsoil Syncromesh MTF - anyone using it?

Anyone using Amsoil Syncromesh MTF in their manual transmissions? I know the viscosity is not properly weighted as factory calls for a 75W-90 fluid but my "new to me" BRZ is having a hard time with initial shifting when it gets cold out. I have read many threads and it appears that this is "normal" behavior of this car and some have somewhat remedied this by using a new fluid. I believe our car's transmission is an inhouse unit (TL70) which is a variation of the Aisin AZ6 (similar to the S2000, RX8 and Miata). I have used the Amsoil Syncromesh MTF in my S2000 with no issues. There are also suggestions of using Pentosin MTF2 (also a thinner oil and not per factory specs) in colder climates with great success but that is now discontinued.

But i have also read that some fluids are not brass synchros/yellow metal safe? Can anyone chime in?

Thanks.
