I really don't find a need for wireless Carplay so I am considering a XAV-AX5000 Sony HU. Thing is, once I get the harness from crutchfield I should be able to use the factory USB ports. Flush fit is a bit of an issue unless you're willing to do some haggard s**t trying to make it fit. Also being able to access the reverse camera without having to be in reverse gear is a plus for me.This whole upgrade with the harnesses but not the camera should cost me about $700 CAD. tbh anything is better than the stock Headunit that we have. Yup Cruithfield is the best source of such advice. Why not forget the sound system 'upgrade' and enjoy the engine sound. It's a sport car, not a dance hall.
