This part of the article makes it seem definite that the car will be FWD.

Good catch on the styling bit, although if they're going to style this as a coupe instead of the hatch shown, you have to wonder how this is going to be different from the FWD Altima coupe. Looking at Nissan's lineup from a marketing standpoint, bringing a sporty FWD hatch to the market (which they don't currently have) makes more sense than developing a second FWD coupe which would cannibalize sales. I guess we'll see though, perhaps Nissan thinks there is space in its lineup for a FWD coupe smaller than the Altima.
