I don't drive that often on the highway and it is mostly around town. I am a spirited driver, so I'm a little more aggressive driver than most. When I did a long trip in the corolla I got pretty good mileage. If I backed off the throttle and went super slow around town I bet I could get pretty good mileage but my area around town has high speed limits and long stretches of roads that go up hill as well as tons of traffic lights so that doesn't help me with the mileage, those factors plus the way I drive = not so great mileage but I think it is worth the extra cost to really enjoy the car how I want.

That makes perfect sense, the smiles are worth the lower fuel economy. [emoji3][emoji106]
My Corolla had the CVT and I found it to be AWESOME for highway cruising, it’s really in its element there. For everything else it kind of sucks.
I think the 86/FR-S can get really good mileage if you want to, especially if you have a 6 speed. It’s always tempting to rev the car out though. I have a fairly long commute and I always try to find an opportunity to let the FR-S play [emoji16]
