For crying out loud people it is just a car. A few minutes idling and a couple of revs isn't going to hurt it. Some of these responses are just plain stupid.

The difference is that it's your right to drive your car however you want.
But the shop doesn't own the car and shouldn't be taking liberties with it.
My suggestion to post a negative review isn't about potential damage. It's about the disrespect involved in handling a customer's property. It's fair to let potential customers know that the shop doesn't respect you or the property you entrust to them.
