The 9th gen Civic wasn’t the best Honda ever made, and I think that just coincided with Hyundai getting “better”. The 9th gen Civic still handles and drives better than any Elantra, I’m sorry.

How about all the automatic transmissions that blew up in the 00's?

This was a bad one, agreed. [emoji27] The worst part was Honda’s reluctance to accept the blame.

Honda has highs as good as the best of them, S2k's are retaining value better than Boxsters or Z3's after 20 years, ITR's are silly money, but their lows are just like anybody else.

And that’s why I would always choose the comparable Honda over a Hyundai. For me personally Honda is cemented in my psyche for making reliable and fun to drive cars. the NSX, S2000, Integra Type R/GSR, 3rd and 4th gen Prelude, pretty much all Accords and Civics

That’s not even getting into Honda’s racing history, their motorcycles, or Acura products.
Hyundai ain’t got any of that. [emoji6] And their Genesis brand is kind of a joke. I’m not saying Hyundai can’t make good cars, but comparing the two companies is silly.
