Haven't updated this in awhile. To play catch up.
I took the car down to replace the lifters and check over the cam and cylinder walls. Everything looked good from the top, so I am still not sure where my metal is coming from. Got it all back together (for the most part) and I am currently waiting for a nice enough day to get the measurements for the pushrods.
I had ordered a turbo and turbo manifolds for the LS as well getting ready to do a twin turbo build...
Kind of lost interest after coming to the realization that the engine realistically needed torn down completely to do a rebuild/refresh. So last second with some good black friday deals, I ordered 2jz engine mounts, Wiseco Pistons, and some good PHR goodies. When the pistons arrive, I will be sending the block and pistons to the machine shop. Still deciding on rods.
That being said. The wastegate and BOV combo I have had sitting on the shelf for a few years will finally have a use, and so will the turbo I just bought.
Currently looking at ECU Masters EMU Black, Treadstone Cast manifold, and Grannas 2jz to t56 kit. Should be relatively straight forward swap ( I hope) with not too much downtime between the two. Really hoping the LS sells quick.
