PS

Be VERY careful when cleaning/removing the old seal packing. Do NOT drop any residue/remains into the upper portion of the oil pan/oil galleries/engine guts.
I would cover the exposed timing chain area with a suitable, non-tearable protective foil/cloth/etc. to shield it against any scraped off residue.
