Clockspring question - NRG hub with aftermarket wheel

So I installed my NRG hub (the one that retains the factory clockspring) and made sure to be very careful putting everything in. I currently have no airbag, ABS, or Traction control lights on after the install, but my wheel is off center by 30 degrees due the bolt pattern on my quick release hub. Also, the hub was installed perfectly centered so it's just an issue with the bolt pattern on the wheel.

My question is, would it be possible to re-install the NRG hub with the clockspring rotated about 30 degrees to the left or right in order to center my wheel?

I've read that the clockspring is very fragile, but if I make sure not to move it that much before the hub is on and torqued down, would it still be able to function normally? I'd prefer not to have to buy another steering wheel just because the bolt pattern is rotated by 30 degrees.
