Sounds to me that the Corvette Engineers did what was best for owners and not supposed "experts".

Having learned about "snap oversteer" in mid-engine cars the hard way with my '85 MR2, spinning across 3 lanes of traffic on a major highway when trying to dodge a car that pulled directly in front of me, I'm OK with that decision.
