I've got a few sets of Mechanix gloves, they've got their uses, doing rough work that isn't greasy/oily that would rip nitrile gloves every 3 minutes, I've got 0.3mm high dex ones I use for car interior shit, impact ones with D3O in the palms for when I have to REALLY beat on something (yes it really works). General use ones I used in the summer when nitrile gloves get too sweaty. If they get too dirty, just spray them with all purpose cleaner and wring them out under running water and they're good as new.
Heck, I've got some soft palm ones I use for driving because my sandpaper hands would ruin the steering wheel.
But yes 90% of the time it's nitrile, though with that said, the gloves aren't his problem.
