I use nitrile latex gloves for anything car related. I have 5 boxes laying around from work. Same for detailing projects.

Those thicker gloves are handy if you are turning wrenches in the cold. They lack dexterity which I'm not a big fan of.

I remember being 17 buying a pair of those and then immediately ruining them because oil and fabric don't mix. Lesson learned..
