No you can't see the pads, yes on most cars you can, this isn't special or worth whining about. This is basically the same caliper Subaru had been using on almost all of their cars for the last... 10+ years at least. There it's just more metal on the caliper bracket than on a Corolla for example, it hides the pad, how terrible that the brake hardware would be beefier.
But back to my reason for finally posting:
A pad slap on a rusty 50k rotor? That's amateur crap. If you're not going to replace the rotors, at least have them resurfaced. You strutted in here like a big man throwing the ricer insult around but you can't even make a basic brake job right. Laughable.
