Yep, some folks today think they invented brake modifications with BBKs.

Back then, the only brakes were an expanding drum in the transmission and a half assed emergency brake on the rear axle.

Since neither worked worth a damn, some folks would mod the braking system by adding a Rocky Mountain brake kit. They worked pretty good unless they were wet and your vehicle was sliding backwards.

Where was I ….. what were we talking about …. oh, yes, then mechanical brakes came along and were standard ….
