Because stock pads are meant for the stock tires. They don't have the bite or increased mu needed when slowing down hard with higher performance tires... meaning they slow down a little slower than expected. The WINMAX W3 pads cured the problem and have an excellent linear mu curve throughout their temperature range... which means very precise braking control/better control of the chassis as the speed decreases.

I generally drive a little faster than traffic, speed up for turns, and can usually make it through stop and go traffic without hardly ever touching the brakes. Mostly use engine braking to do the majority of slowing down for intersections and then the brakes to come to a complete stop from third or second gear.
