Recall Success??

Third, unless you live in CA you don't have to have it done. If the engine fails because of it, again in theory, Toyota would pay for the repair assuming it could be proven to be a faulty valve.

Fourth, there have been way more successful recalls done than have failed. You just don't hear about every time there is a successful one done.

That’s really good info! [emoji106] I remember reading about more failures after the recall with the FRS, but it makes sense when you factor in the higher number of FR-S’s out there. And like you said, you usually only hear about the failures, not the cars fixed correctly. Like pretty everything else in life, focus on the negative. [emoji28] (Not that the owners of a failed recall car are looking for attention, they just want to know their options. And possibly warn others about a dealership, etc)
My FR-S is a 2016 so I shouldn’t ever need to do the recall, but you never know, recalls get expanded all the time. Honestly I don’t think I would do it unless forced to (like in CA)
