You were either looking at a 2+2 or a 280ZX. Here's a good look at profiles of:
S30 240Z 2-seater (the only model), S30 260Z 2+2 (280Z 2+2 similar), S30 280Z 2-seater (maybe w/ smaller non-US bumpers?), S130 280ZX 2-seater (new and different chassis), and Z30 300ZX 2-seater.
Note: 2+2 was available from S30 260Z through Z32 (90s) 300ZX, and of course all those were available as shorter-wheelbase 2-seaters. The Z33 2+2 is the G35 coupe...
