Drive 100 miles after 10pm at 65mph with cruise control on and unless you've messed with the car you'll get over 30mpg. My best tank was over 34 mpg from Sac to San Jose starting at 9pm on a Sunday.

92mph is only 42% faster than 65, but you see DOUBLE the aero drag than you see at 65. Even if your car is geared for low rpms at high speed, you can’t beat aerodynamics.
