Then I must be very sensitive and/or the torque dip gets worse with age. When I'm just giv'n 'er a bit more on the street I don't plan on keeping it around redline the whole time; I like to use the mid-range RPM, right where the dip is. That and some of the creature comforts are what make me miss my E46 zhp.
I do need to get more track time with this thing to hopefully make me fall in love (should be able to keep out of the dip there, unless the gearing is really unsuited to the track). The first (and only so far) was a 3 lap start that ended without an engine.
