There is no need to take the shifter out, everything can be done from underneath the car except removing the slave cylinder and a ground wire on top of the bell housing. This clutch, TOB, etc. replacement is pretty easy. I did mine a couple weeks ago in a total of 2 hrs.

Yep and 10mins of the video is him removing a cross threaded bolt. This tranny is by far the easiest I’ve ever done.
